The particular way we operate strengthens our attention, which is offered in very personal manner, surpassing the standard idea of agency attention and entering the field of consulting. The following is a short description of our standard way of attention:

1.) Upon receipt of nomination / appointment we approach the terminal in order to check berthing prospects and cargo availability. At the same time, we send to the Master a large questionnaire which includes all kind of questions which can help to avoid later misunderstandings and, consequently, delays and losses.

2.) Once we obtain the answer from the Master, we fill out our form with the information and send it to the terminal. In case of any discrepancy, we still have enough time for clarifications between all parties involved. Of course, we are sending updated berthing prospects to the Master, owners, charterers, etc. at least once daily.

3.) Once the vessel arrives, we send our Boarding Clerk to clear the ship with authorities, to be present at the initial interview between the Ship´s and Loading Master and make sure loading commenced smoothly and no problems expected.

4.) During the vessel´s stay in the port (anchorage) our Boarding Clerk is in permanent contact via marine VHF with the ship, as well as with terminal´s Loading Master, in order to be able to prevent any problem between the ship and the terminal, always being physically close to the terminal (vessel), i.e. not more than 45 min away. While the ship is alongside, Boarding Clerk is visiting her at least once daily, after berthing and before sailing clearance.
From the office we are sending one or two status reports daily, besides the Berthing and Sailing Statement. Due to the fact that we are equipped with mobile phones, switched on all the time, we are able to give a 24 hours service to our customers (to talk with the right person, who can give the right explanations and make decisions, and not just somebody who pick up the phone).

5.) Once loading completed, our Boarding Clerk is present on board, in order to assist the Master with signing of cargo documents. Our Boarding Clerks are equipped with cellular phones, which facilitates them (and automatically to Master, as well) to contact any person involved in the business from the ship, saving so the time in case of any problem on board.
On the return from the ship, we immediately send sailing report together with the cargo documents by fax, and later hard copies by courier.

As you may notice, our way of attention is always personally dedicated to the loading operation, assisting the Master and protecting the interests of our principals.

Education: Superior Merchant Marine School graduated (Eng. for Maritime Transport - 2 years of university). Master Mariner since 1988. Sailing experience: 6 years on freighters and bulk carriers (signed off as a Chief Mate). Experience in the agency: Since 1990 as a Boarding Clerk, Assistant and finally Manager (since April 1991).


Operations Coordinator and Director, Mr. Gustavo Ghersi
Age: Born in 1966
Education: 3 years of university (accounting, not graduated). Experience with agency: Since 1992 as Boarding Clerk


Boarding Clerk, Mr. Ivan Meneses
Age: Born in 1979
Education : 1,5 year of university (accounting - not graduated). Experience with agency: Since 2000 as Boarding Clerk

Education: High School, graduated. Experience with agency: Since 1996 as Time Keeper and Boarding Clerk.
